Your hardiness zone is important when selecting materials. There are three systems in use. The two you should be aware of are from the United States Department of Agriculture and the one developed by Sunset magazine. The USDA system looks at the average minimum low temperatures while Sunset has several criteria. Hit your state, then find your city, if we have the zone for your
locale it will describe those zones. If we do not have yours listed,
please, email the webmaster with the information in order for us to
