Psilostrophe cooperi (Paper Flower)

Perennial

This perennial is native to California, Arizona, New Mexico and Mexico at elevations from 2000 to 5000 feet. It has needlelike light green leaves, and produces masses of small yellow flowers in the spring and summer, which dry to a papery tan and persist on the plant. Plant in full sun and extremely well-drained soils.
